Racket Badminton
Racket Badminton can suit anyone from any age with different intentions of the sport as it can be played socially with little effort or competitively. Only two badminton rackets and a shuttle cock are required to play as any gym or leisure hall that host badminton will have the suited nets.
Besides purchasing the rackets (retail new from £20) the cost of playing Badminton can be low as community halls can be rented out for an hours session for a few pounds. This creates a perfect opportunity for a family to spend some healthy social time together enjoying the game, especially as badminton is simple for young children to understand by hitting the slow-moving shuttle cock back over the net. Also badminton can be played by incorporating 4 people with two teams so an inter-family competition can arise!
When taken seriously, racket badminton demands high hand-to-eye coordination skills, reflexes and agility as you need to be darting across the badminton court to reach well placed competitor shots.
