Sword Fencing!
Fencing is a fast and athletic sport and is very demanding on reflexes and hand to eye coordination. Modern fencing takes place on a 14m by 2m strip, rather than swinging from chandeliers or jumping off balconies. The actions are very fast and requires a good eye and judgement to count the score!
When
I first tried Sword Fencing out I had so much fun with the determination
to defeat your opponent and win.
You need to be paying attention all the time, watching carefully, for any
moment your competitor makes that may result in them striking at any point.
It's great to bring a few mates with you because for some reason it's a
lot of fun when you're trying to poke your friend with a bendy sword!
Sword Fencing isn't the most popular sport as it is old fashioned and there are a limited number of clubs in the UK, but it is an olympic sport and holds some great achievements. I would recommend this to try out if the opportunity arises and you feel physically up to the challenge, but to follow sword fencing up professionally would be hard as it takes alot of practice, time, effort and expense.
